How many tennis balls can fit in a two bedroom apartment?
I am assuming this is a typical apartment and we are storing all the tennis balls in plain sight not inside the cupboards or kitchen shelves.
A typical two-bedroom apartment has carpet area of 800 sq ft.
Our basic equation would be:

[Vol of apartment — Vol of things inside the apartment] / Vol of tennis ball
Let’s start with the Vol of apartment = 800 sq ft *10 ft (height) = 8000 cb ft
Vol of tennis ball = 4/3 (Pi) r³ where r is 2.5in ~ 0.1 ft = 0.004 cb ft
Now, let’s calculate the Vol of things inside the apartment: (considering all measurements in ft)
=> 2 * Bed + 2 * Cupboard + Kitchen Shelves + Sofa + Dining Table + 2Toilets
=> 2 * (5*6.5*2) + 2 * (10*2*7) + (4*10*2) + (7*3*1) + (4*3*4) + 2 * [2]
=> 2 * (65) + 2 * (140) + 80 + 21 + 48 + 4
=> 563 cb ft
Note: I did not consider the volume of chairs of the dining table and instead took the empty space below the dining table assuming volume of chairs won’t be more than that. Also didn’t consider volume of other items like TV since the Vol of TV = 2*2 *0.5 = 2 cb ft and dividing that by vol of tennis ball (2/0.004)~ 500 balls which is negligible compared to the final answer which would likely be in millions.

No. of tennis balls = (8000–563) / 0.004 = 7437 / 0.004 = 1.85 million
